Good combinations of sets for booster drafts

I would like to know your opinions on which (still acquirable) sets combine well in a booster draft (say with 7 boosters)!

Yesterday we combined 3rd and Gehenna in my playing group, and we felt like there could be better und more suiting combinations of sets.

These pairings are at least all fairly good.

KMW + LotN
Black Hand + 3rd
3rd + Sword of Caine
KoT + Twilight Rebellion

What? You made a draft around Frankfurt and I did not know about ? What a shame. Next time give your old buddies a call .

I would recommend something like 3x legacies, 2x ebony kingdom, and 2x heirs if you want to go for that. Though would probably be easier with 8 boosters adding 4th legacies booster.

I think you always need one or two boosters of a base set at least. With only expansions you miss cards like Wake-cards, d-rushes, poolgain, bleed actions. With KoT, CE and SW not available any more you only have the option to add 3rd edition.
