So, Catatonic Fear and Loving Agony use the same timing for damage inflicted, even though they have different wordings?
Catatonic Fear
Catatonic Fear
Strike: combat ends.
As above, and inflict 1 damage to the opposing minion once combat ends if the range is close.
Loving Agony
Only usable at close range.
[ani] Strike: hand strike at +1 damage.
[val] Strike: combat ends and the opposing minion takes 1 damage.
[VAL] As [val] above, and this vampire may burn 1 blood to untap before combat ends.

sorry to bump in on a related note,
Anaesthetic Touch & Disarm, are they compatible?
Anesthetic Touch
Only usable at close range.
[aus] Strike: dodge.
[obe] Strike: hand strike. Combat ends immediately after the resolution of this strike.
[OBE] As [obe] above, with first strike.
Disarm
[pot] Only usable at the end of a round of combat in which this vampire successfully inflicted more damage at close range than the opposing vampire. Not usable by a vampire being burned or going into torpor. Put this card on the opposing vampire and send that vampire into torpor. The vampire with this card has -1 strength. He or she may burn this card by burning 3 blood. A vampire can have only one Disarm.
[POT] As above, but the vampire with this card has -2 strength.
-thanks.

Yes.
Any strike that is "Strike: combat ends, plus something" does the something after combat. The one exception is "plus untap this striking minion" (or similar), which happens before combat ends (and most such cards have been reprinted/errata-ed to clarify that).

If the strike does something in addition to ending combat, that something takes place just after the combat ends. [RTR 19970630]
The untap effect of MAJESTY (and Earth Meld and Meld with the Land)
occurs when the strike resolves (it is not delayed until after combat
ends).[RTR 20020501]

Disarm is playable at the end of the round, however the round ends - be that from ordinary combat ending (after the press phase), or a "combat ends" effect. Of course, its other criteria have to be met - close range, more damage etc.
Note that at [obe], your opponent will have the ordinary opportunity to hit you (so you'd need to work out a way to do more damage than them, such as by playing prevent cards). At [OBE], you will usually be getting in first, and ending combat before 'normal' strike resolution effects resolve, which is much easier.
Your opponent can, of course, dodge your strike, prevent your damage, or play their own S:CE, which would scupper things for you.
