Shadow Court Satyr and Death Seeker

No the Earth Meld is a card just fine (and a combat card at that), which is on the Shadow Court Satyr.
But as Ohlmann wrote, when the Shadow Court Satyr uses his special text to use the ability from the combat card on him, no card is played. Therefore something that cancels a card cannot cancel it. Would you argue Direct Intervention can cancel the effect too?

Re: Izaak.
So you are saying the Earthmeld card is somehow no longer a card and no longer a combat card when placed on the Satyr?
