It works and all, but it's not worth it. Most of the effect counter each other so all you end up with is flight, no damage coming in or out and bleeding yourself and your minion.

the brilliance of this combo is that it avoids contesting of Depravity for the +1 strength bonus. it can even be stacked with it! that's +2 strength for 3 cards, 1 pool, and 2 blood = so overpowered OMGWTFBBQ

now you just need a way to use that +2 strength that does not involve combat

Correct.

The vampire treats the incoming unprevented aggravated damage as if
it were normal damage.

If this vampire is immune to normal damage (via Ex Nihilo for example),
then the incoming damage which he treats as normal will be ignored.
