Of course you're right, but those are, I believe, finer points to the entire timing of the strikes issue. Since the OP doesn't seem to grasp the basics, i thought first step should be giving him a general idea of the whole rules. It's not accidental that the simplification of timings, such as I've written, is nowhere to be found in the rulebook.
