question-circle Tournament rules - Number of players per table

@Adonai: I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. The Tournament Rules encourage using the Archon seating chart, which provides 4- or 5-player tables for any number of players above 3.

Using the Archon has not been made mandatory, in order not to reject tournaments where getting the Archon was not possible.
I've been in a situation (10-player event) where I had to rebuild the seating chart manually.

So, I would tend to say: The official interpretation of " Use of the optimal seating chart, found in The Archon tournament tracking spreadsheet, is encouraged" is that I highly recommend using the Archon when you can access it.

Yes the Archon has that seating set up. I created the 6,7,11 player split rounds a while back. Some people do not like using it. So with 11, one person drops and judges and the other 10 play. If you get 6 or 7, play something else. But if you really have a need to play and have 6, 7 or 11, then use the split round system.

With 7, our playgroup tends not to report and instead have one of the guys double-up.

Put plainly:

Are 6 player tables allowed in a sanctioned constructed tournament?
Are 3 player tables allowed in a sanctioned constructed tournament?

No, since it's possible to avoid doing this.

Are 3 player tables allowed in a sanctioned constructed tournament?

No, unless it's impossible not to do so (which only happens in the case of a 3-player event).
