Would it also be a valid argument that the "as announced" window does not allow you to tap the Barrens or Fragment of the Book of Nod (or any other similar effect.)

Also, you do not refresh your hand during this window (IE drawing a Seduction from the action card, or you must have a weapon in hand to play Concealed Weapon.)

That mostly comes into play when someone plays a master card and another player taps the Barrens to dig for a Sudden Reversal. However, it should work both ways: you can't tap the House of Sorrows to untap the Creepshow Casino in the "as announced" window.

:tore: :pre: :tem: :aus: Independent Futurist. Contrarian (titled, X votes where X is the number of votes as the acting minion.) Target Vitals is always the better combat card.

Wrong.

Cards aren't replaced in the "as played" window (Rulebook 1.6.1), but you replace your Govern before deciding whether or not to play your Seduction. You can tap Barrens before playing Seduction.

Concealed Weapon is also replaced before putting the weapon in play, but *you need the weapon in your hand in order to play CW in the first place*.

That, for once, is something truly confusing and error-prone.

On the same account, do you have to declare what you equip with a jack of both side ? And do you need to actually have the thing in hand before replacing the Jack ?

I already cited the answer for that in "Uses for Jack of Both Sides" topic. Let me cut and paste to help you.

Correct, except that tapping comes after DI (that is, if the action card is
DI'ed, the minion doesn't tap).

Correct.

So, let's suppose..

I play Jack of both side for a Magnum .44

I get blocked by a vampire with 6 raptor. I discard my hand, including the magnum, play torrent, continue my action, draw another Magnum. Can I equip it ?

(if not, this is a nightmare to ascertain "cheating" by people ; and if there were a way to make discard at random during the time between announce and resolution, it will be even more fun, since the active player will have to keep mental track of which magnum he have in hand is the good one, to know whether he discarded the one for the action or any other)

Yes.
The thing is that you fully announce your action: "I play Jack of Both Sides to equip with a .44 Magnum from my hand." (not "this .44 Magnum") In order to be legal, you must have a .44 Magnum in hand when you announce it.
Then, upon resolution, you move a .44 Magnum from your hand to the vampire (if you can).

The thing is that it's not necessarily the same Magnum because you don't have to explicitely say which Magnum you equip (it's irrelevant). As long as you play the named card, it's ok.
