Keep in mind that Ambrosius's action is at zero stealth, so smart preys will block that.

Np mate, was just wondering I was getting the utterly off topic stuff in response
Sorry: with the forum now opening on the recent post list, I didn't notice in which section this was posted.Thank you for the completely useless ruling answer.
Going to assume your answer is due to the same reason as Boris. Why employ Robert in the first place and waste Smudge's action?
Why not just discard all copies of Robert Carter you happen to draw and move them, one by one, to a minion and bleed immediately the same turn. If you have another copy or Carter in your hand, by all means employ it to cycle a bit.
Sigh, see above.Keep in mind that Ambrosius's action is at zero stealth, so smart preys will block that.
Awesome, that clears that up. Thanks, it is exactly what I thought would happen, so glad to see my instincts are still good
Correct, counters on cards go back to the bank when the card goes to the ash heap.As far as I can tell, the pathos counters are erased, allowing ambrosius to fetch me a fine new free Carter, correct?

True dat.
Then again, if you're playing with Ambrosius you have Giovanni and they can give Stealth to Wraiths with at least Shroud Mastery.
Or you could use minions with Obfuscate and Cloak/Veil Ambrosius.
There is probably more efficient ways to take down your prey though...
