When using Ohoyo's ability, does the blocking minion lock or does it stay unlocked ?

Considering the timing and [ANK 20190528] , I'd say the original blocker does not lock.

On the the other hand, Ohoyo's ability only cancels the combat and replaces it with another one - it says nothing about cancelling the block or thwarting the block resolution. So, which is it ?

The blocking minion is locked.

Ohoyo Hopoksia's effet is a replacement effect on the combat part only. It doesn't end the action before the block resolution, it changes a part of it.

"is about to" should be "would".

Thanks for the fast answer !

If it ever gets reprinted, a reminder text might help (although there isn't much place :p). I saw the ruling you linked but it was not so clear (maybe the blocking minion was already locked ?) - now it's crystal clear ☺︎
