file Sequencing of Eagle Sight (etc.) block attempts

15 Jan 2021 23:07 #101439 by Hakuron
The Situation:

A’ s Stanislava bleeds B for the oust. B has no unlocked minions (and no wake cards) and declines blocks. C plays an Auspex wall deck and controls (unlocked) minions with superior Auspex, but declines blocks. D controls Anneke who is unlocked, and she attempts to block. The block is successful, and during combat Stanislava plays Form of Mist superior to continue the bleed action. Anneke remains locked after combat, and her player declines blocks.

Could C now decide to play Eagle Sight superior with one of his Vampires and try to block Stanislava’s bleed?
(And would it make any difference if Stanislava just played a Stealth card instead of Form of Mist in order to get pass Anneke’s block attempt?)

Thanks in advance!

No.

No.

I'm no Ankha but, from the rulebook:

blocking attempts are made in a clockwise order.

Once a Methuselah decides not to make any further attempts to block, that decision is final.

When the target of the action changes, every Methusalah has a new chance to block (don't know why it's not in the rulebook yet, but there are numerous rulings), but that's no the case here with Form of Mist (or additional stealth, which would be the same).
Eagle's Sight does not circumvent previous decisions not to block [RTR 19950413] [RTR 20020501]

so on an Table with A B C D and E and A bleeding B:

A anounces bleed B declines block, C declines Block, D plays eagle sight, A plays form of msit to continue, D could try to block again (with the vampire that played eagle sight) and if D declines E could try to block with Eagle Sight, but B and C could not, correct?
