Lord Ashton v Guide and Mentor

From a discussion on the discord rules channel, I stumbled across

which calls out a difference between the rulings on Lord Ashton's action and Guide and Mentor's action, which, as far as I know, as never been formally addressed.

While very minor, it would be nice if we can get some official clarification / unification of the rulings.
