file Possible counterfeit VtES cards sold on EBay?

06 Mar 2013 20:06 #45802 by James Lin
Yeah, I have issues with it as I spent real money for possible counterfeit. I still haven't heard anyone telling me there are more than 1 print of third edition (rough edges kind). I'm getting close (still seeking opinions from people I know that can take a look at this card) to tell EBay about this seller, which has less than 100 feedbacks.

Does the card have the VERY fine blue line between both sides? If so then it's unlikely to be fake.

James, you can email me as many detailed pics as you'd like to kjm1971 at cox.net and I'll check them out. Likely you've just stumbled onto some sort of weird machine output, or something similar.

There was only 1 print run of Third Edition.
Cutting of the edges of the cards varied greatly throughout the release.

Given the printer used for 3rd Ed, I would not be surprised at all for high variation in color saturation across a single print run. There's a hundred different variables in the actual print run which could cause that. Just saying, the fact that 3rd ed was a single run, and the card you have is darker than normal, doesn't automatically imply it is counterfeit.
