Well, you see, if I agreed with that I wouldn't have brought it up. It hardly matters what level of Animalism you have for the retainers. He's got a few reaction cards that are still pretty good at ani and finally there's Carrion Crows and Aid From Bats, which you both pretty much want to have at superior. However with Murder of Crows and Swiftness of the Stag you can still do pretty well at ani. That's why I brought up David Quiñonero's decks. But anyway, that's enough. The group Rodd is using isn't terrible. I just like the other one better.

Yes, all around, g2 is better. However, this group, if you (mostly) disregard PRE is rather workable and their average capacity is smaller by a wide margin:

(let's say 10-11 Ahrimanes vamps and one to two out of clan 2-caps):
4 Howler + 2 Siamese + 2 Cynthia + 1 Juanita + 1 Nettie + 1 Dani + 1 Lisa Noble=5.83 average
3 Muricia + 3 Effie + 2 Sahana + 2 Darlene + 1 Aiyana + 1 Walker Grimes = 4.50 average

Perhaps something to think about...

Since your crypt is staring Muricia already anyway, why not include Celeste Lamontagne and Janey Pickman to take advantage of her special?

Cat's Guidance is a good intercept card and a terrible wake card. I'd cut 2 and add 2 more Speak with Spirits to bring you up to 12 proper wakes.

Replace 2 Raven Spies and 1 Murder of Crows with 2 Muricia's Calls if you have them.

I second the addition of 1 or 2 s:ce cards, preferably Leap Frogs for the versatility.

That might be interesting angle, but in the end you get another Gentha Shale-lookalike vampire - a 5-cap (Celeste) and a 6-cap (Janey) with inferior Spiritus, which in my opinion sucks. Those two don't even have Presense of any kind. Perhaps, due to her midcap-ness, Celeste could be used that way, but I'm still not convinced that you're better off using those instead of multiple Sahanas. It is a lengthy setup to acquire another Effie: bring out 7-cap with ability (you'd do that anyway), bring out 5-cap that cannot do anything that turn, burn blood during untap AND spend another action (either Sanguine Instruction or Visionquest) to make a vamp worthwhile.

Hell, I just might try that, actually. A single Celeste won't imbalance my crypt that much...
