Hello!

Now that I brought my ideas about Nu to dayli... no, wait, that's not appropriate at all.

Anyways, I wanted to have some discussion about multirushes with a star vampire in a tournament environment, because I was planning on trying one out in Ropecon, Finland's biggest VtES tournament in a week. I've always had a thing with Al'Muntaquim, and now that people have gotten interested in the G5-6 True Brujah I'm even more eager to show that you CAN play well with the older ones as well.

This one's a plain and simple multirush: Rush, kill, maim, destroy, untap and repeat.

The deck has fared insanely well in a 4-player environment, but that's making me less than happy - every time I've brought Al'Muntaquim up in a five player table I've been either obliterated in half-an-hour, or I've simply had too little resources to deal with my Prey after I've been forced to decimate my super eager Predator. Fair enough, I've been killed by a stealth-voter once (14 pool damage in two rounds, what?!), and every time after wards I've been bled by a DOM-midcap with Obtenebration. Once I bring the my star up I've already lost ~10 pool, and usually my Prey's not even trying to deal with me at all, once he sees my Potence and Fortitude - "It's either you or me." Usually it's both of us. Irritating.

So yeah, the main problem's been with surviving, but afterwards it comes down to actually ousting. I decided that bringing the whole table under pressure would be the best bet, so the last addition I made was the Anarch Revolt angle. I can't rely on Dragonbounds or Tensions since they seriously mess up my Caitiff goons, so I need to find something else to oust with. Bleeds haven't really been enough this far, since the idea of destroying my prey and constantly bleeding hasn't been working.

So, here's the deck. I'm hoping to get some ideas, opinions and feedback on the deck, preferrable playing style, and if a multirush can indeed work at all in a seriously competitive environment.

Fucking Stealth&Bleeds...

Description:
The Caitiff do the dirty work, and if they get too careless, they have a good home in the freezer - and after feeding, Al\'Muntaquim can eat their hearts for extra bleed.

i've been wanting to build a deck like this for awhile, and this looks really fun and fairly aggro, so i'm almost sold. my only questions are:

1. no convert? arguably the best caitiff in the game and you're running anarch stuff?

2. only one clotho's gift? Al playing it @ outferirior is great for your deck, since you pay a pool to get throwaway minion and get an action or so off, maybe get to carver's them, and then get perma +bleed.

other than that, looks great.

as a joke, you could throw in 1 copy of inceptor to make a 1 cap play outside the hourglass and be able to dodge with a manuever.

Thanks. :)

If I just owned any. :) I'd isntantly include two if I could.

2. only one clotho's gift? Al playing it @ outferirior is great for your deck, since you pay a pool to get throwaway minion and get an action or so off, maybe get to carver's them, and then get perma +bleed.

Well, I'm sometimes finding myself in lack of blood and stuff, and this far I just haven't had the time to use it. With Ankara it would be awesome, sure, and I think I used to play three of it at one point, but found eventually out that there are more important actions around. If I were playing bigger caps than 1 Clotho's might be an auto include in higher quantities than one.

other than that, looks great.

Thank you. :) The main question remains, however: why am I losing so much in 5-player environments? Granted, I've been seated in front of the same guy with a S&B, who's having this kind of a vengance attitude against me and my decks recently. "I know you're gonna rush me anyways, so I'm gonna bleed to every turn 'till you die anyways." Frustrating, but what can you do. I wonder if it would be like that in tournaments where guys can't know what I'm gonna play...

as a joke, you could throw in 1 copy of inceptor to make a 1 cap play outside the hourglass and be able to dodge with a manuever.

I thought about that, but in tournaments there's little space for fooling about. :) Also, my weenies are mainly SUPPOSED to die - sometimes I'm struggling with how to torporize them!

Talbots chainsaw gets you a rush at +1 stealth and solves your problem of torporizing the cannon fodder caitiff.

It costs plenty of pool as well, takes an action to equip and might backfire big time. I'll be weighing the pros and cons before applying this. You think it would really make the deck actually better?

The chainsaw's cool as hell, though.

For a multirush deck, you don't have NEARLY enough rushes. Only 8 rushes in 89 cards wont do, you need at least 14. Also where are all your immortal grapples? Sure Lapse is cute, but IG does effectively same and is free. I would definetily ditch the equipment and kiss of lachesis to bolster your main focus more. You could use some more prevent too, especially unflinching persistences. On top of that, you don't really have much any combat there that does damage, all those tastes when most you can hit for is 3 unless you get that single preternatural in the deck? Almost half of your combat cards don't actually help you win a combat, they just make it nicer for you -if- you win. That is going to result in pretty bad hand jam often I can tell you. Overall I think this deck has way too much tool-up and 'win more if I am already winning' cards, and not enough stuff that actually makes things happen. You better hope you don't run to any real combat deck or you get eaten alive. :)
