Assuming that he gets in combats with 3-caps. With 0-stealth rushes, that's generally out of Gustaphe's control. It gets even worse against allies. I'm not saying that it will destroy the deck but it will greatly limit it's options.

I would be worried about chump blocks on the rushes. Good players will try to deny big Tastes after Villeining or getting Heroic Might, which might eventually lead to Gustaphe wasting turns on hunts.
Or getting blood from Carver's Meat Packing Plant, gaining increasing amounts as that scenario repeats in later turns.

Guys, there are shortfalls. There are ALWAYS shortfalls. Hence, no deck wins every game or every tournament.
You raised an issue. Blood deprivation and chump blocks. I pointed out that there is an answer to the potential issue baked into the deck. One though a single copy of a card, one through a game play approach.
Then it went from "chump blocks!" to "Oh - they block with something over 3." Well, that's not a chump. Be happy in dunking a 4+ cap if it blocked a rush. Hopefully, the deck Tastes to neutral blood, but maybe not. Whatever. Combat mission achieved, remove a viable minion from the active region.
Then, Allies! Oh, wait, SHAMBLERS! Yeah it happens. I've seen....umm...a (yes, ONE) Shambler deck across the last FIFTEEN tournaments I've played (~2 months.) There's evidence they exist. If I said "consider a Labyrinth" (which I did in the earlier deck suggestion), you would say "Shambling Hordes under the Unmasking!!"
It could have just as easily been Aggropoke! or [AUS][FOR] Stickmen! All of these are potential problems to this deck design. The original template was pretty focused, so it can't have the answer to everything.
Always....ALWAYS.....shortfalls. Things happen. People will try to foil you, it's their job as much as it's yours to foil them. So you build a decent deck that's fun to play, plan for a few contingencies, do your best with game-time decisions and hope that the Rock-Paper-Scissors God of V:tES favors you, 2 hours at a time.

When you're rushing with a big minion blood management is a huge and constant concern, even more so for POT-combat. Taste of Vitae in a deck like this gives too much control over to your opponents for previously stated reasons. This is the one contingency I would plan for.
As for the prevalence of allies, I see a lot of Nephandi, Nocturns and Shamblers in local tournaments. That's probably not an impassable obstacle for the deck but it's another reason to consider Guardian Angel.
