I hadn't seen that elsewhere on your pages -- did I miss it?

It's been there since the introduction of the Clan webpage on October 3, 2001.

Usenet announcement

If a deck has 5 or 6 vampires of one clan, and no other clan has more members in the crypt of that deck, it will be listed under that clan.

I sorta wonder how a list like the TWDA would break down if more than just the winners were recorded? How it might look if say, there were an archive open to all decks that make the final table or something. I think there are certain decktypes that can generally do well enough to make it there, but don't necessarily have what it takes to emerge victorious at the end of the day.

It would be interesting to see statistics on the First Place Curse(TM).

I'd rather have a separate page for all the other interesting decks.

Because slicing the TWDA in various ways is a fun way to waste time, I decided to look at trying to identifier "Superstar" decks. (This is using the twd as downloaded on 2012/10/26, so it doesn't include any of the EC decks yet).

Superstar definition used:
  1. The vampire must be unique.
  2. At least 33% of the crypt (so 4/12, 5/13, but not 4/13)
  3. Anarch Convert is ignored (because of decks like www.thelasombra.com/decks/twd.htm#2k9erasmusmontpellier )
  4. More than any other unique vampire in the crypt (thus www.thelasombra.com/decks/twd.htm#2012ctbcpj is considered an Unnamed superstar deck)
  5. Advanced and base version are considered the same vampire

"Camille Devereux, The Raven" is over-represented from the period when the Jyhad and VTES versions were considered different vampires. I have not tried to compensate for that.

As much as anything else, this makes me convinced that we should consider inserting a rule that states "A Methuselah may play a maximum of only two masters per turn." And then make Parthenon free.

Yeah, it'd be a major change. Yeah, it'd break the game wide, wide open. Yeah, I think that'd be much more fun. No, I'm not going to push it in any way, because it'll never happen.
