While a compelling reason not to let himself go down to 6 pool or less, there is a point where you can just accept that nothing can be done. If your opponent have 4 vampires, and 4 govern, 4 conditionning, 4 daring in the same turn, there is no much that can save you. Except 4 deflections ;)


If you're not intending to bleed much - either at all, because you're a vote deck or similar, or for large phases of the game because you want to establish lockdown then oust (e.g. turbo-Baltimore Purge, certain forms of combat) - then Protected Resources isn't awful.

There's a smattering of it in the TWDA, never more than 3 in a deck (and mostly 1-2).

Potentially better than Archon Investigation (which grabs more attention) in that your predator doesn't have to be horrifically weakened by losing a decent mid-to-high cap vampire, and so your grand-predator may be held off a wee bit longer. Obviously, very deck and meta dependent though.
