I get that, but these may also be the stepping stone to the 5-player All-In-One VTES product Black Chantry is looking for. If they could be balanced against each other, that is.
Also, I liked the pot-cel-pro-pre Anarch deck more. Something about having Brujah/!Brujah being the bulk of the crypt seems thematically right.
Gangrel. Noddist. Camarilla. Once each turn, LivesByProxy may burn 1 blood to lose Protean
until the end of the turn and gain your choice of superior Auspex
, Obfuscate
, or Potence
for the current action.

My original hope was to be able to do both. That said, if we have super basic decks for demos then maybe these should be stepping stone decks into tournaments. I am not worried about them being balanced against each other... because realistically they are very unlikely to ever be at the same table. What I am worried about is players being in a tournament and feeling hopelessly out-matched.

I think there is design room between the demo decks (mono discipline, played with 20 pool) and "tournament level" decks. I assumed the decks in this thread were meant to be these "intermediate" level decks,
I was thinking decks that you could loan if some newcomer comes to the weekly game that is still played with 30 pool and 'real' decks. Something that is somewhat competitive but doesn't have too many moving parts.

This is basically the question. Do you want to make a demo-level experience, balance 5 decks together in a vacuum, or cater them to a tournament environment?
I think this is best left out of our generic beginner-friendly decks.
I don't disagree with you, but I want to ask jblacey: should these be thought of as beginner-friendly? Or easy-to-pilot intermediate-level decks?
This important decision in deck building is still a bit blurry to me here.

Would there be some way to combine the 1st draft (
+
+
+
) with the latest alternative deck you proposed? (Adding those vamps that have
+
+
?) Would that be too diluted? What about adding Jack Drake to your 1st draft crypt? Him and Salvador Garcia being star-like vamps for your younger Anarchs.

I might be trying to get too fancy.
might be the correct path and do a standard who flung junk deck. It is totally simple and always entertaining.
