So yeah basically you can play everything you want until your deck has some kind of strategy. I should find the guts to play all my ideas I had discarded before...

Large pool gain will allow "non tier 1" decks to hang with the big boys.

Give it a try, and baffle the world with the stuff you stick on the TWDA:P

Jay, I spent the last 20 somewhat hours going through your decks and thinking over what I know about v:tes.

So I noticed these points:

You almost always play
1. 9-12 different vampires and there is never a star
2. many many pool generating cards
3. cards that move vamps from your crypt to the uncontrolled

Your main weapon must be patience and recognizing opportunities and use them well.

I'll definitely will include these or some of these points in the decks I want to build. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks for your research. Those points you mentioned are things that I have tried to focus on in the last few years. Also noteworthy:

-The vast majority of my recent decks have been 60 cards.
-I do my best to not build decks that appear frightening.
-I am interested in the unusual.

Thanks again, and good luck!

Jay, why did you include Gran Madre di Dio, Italy? Did you consider Pentex, or was it too much of a power card? What about any obfuscate cards?

Cool deck!

Gran Madre is in there because I love it. In this case for its tapping vamps when the come into play effect. I have always loved tap and bleed (vs. stealth bleed). I enjoy Mind Numb, Remover, Anarch Trouble Maker, etc. I like Gran Madre because is passively does the tapping for me. Sure, it only takes effect when a new vamp is brought into play, but that effect can be big as my prey has just spent the pool on the new vamp, and now that vamp can't play defense, and my prey has yet to get to his master phase where he could recoup that pool expendature with Villein and the like.

Pentex should probably be in there. My hubris was that I would be able to fight through a all star wall type vamp with my combat cards. Even so, Pentex should find a home in this deck.

Obfuscate cards were initially inteneded to be in the deck. However, as I assembled it, I could tell that there was going to be no way to include them and still keep the deck to 60 cards. So I just decided I was okay with being blocked.

Thanks for your interest, and sorry for the delay in my response.
