file Card idea: Montano (Lasombra Inner Circle member)

Here's my attempt at making the legendary Montano aka Ontai, the 4th generation Lasombra antitribu...I wanted him to do something extremely cool. From the source material, he's reputed to be a master of Obtenebration. Shadow Body at will reflects that. ;) Always thought that he should be included in the game as an Inner Circle member. Oh, and he's of North African origin, so that's why he has inferior Abombwe and Serpentis... ;)

Camarilla Lasombra Inner Circle: Montano may end combat as a strike that costs 1 blood. If he does so while performing an action other than a political action or bleeding, the action continues as if unblocked. +1 stealth. +1 bleed.

While I like the idea of Sabbat "Inner Circle" (11-cap) vampires, the special ability (S:CE for cont. action) is way too good. Even with the restriction to non-bleed, non-political actions.

Just think of Baltimore Purge.

And for the Sabbat vampires need another term than "Inner Circle" for vampires with 4 votes.

In the RPG he's a 4th gen Camarilla Lasombra antitribu, not a Sabbat vampire, hence him being a Camarilla Inner Circle member :)

I still want him to have some sort of built in Obtenebration ability that's very powerful, but yeah, I didn't even think of Baltimore Purge. What about a built in Strike: dodge with an additional strike like Arms of the Abyss? Would that be reasonable?

He's already got the very nice +1 stealth to help him get actions through, plus OBT stealth, so I guess he doesn't need much help there..

Maybe make his ability only usable once per turn? That would avoid the "unblockable while he has blood" effect.

I would add him some extra disciplines (3 superior for 11 cap is not enough) and special should be weakened. Remove possibility of continuing action and it'll be fine

Yeah, that's a quick fix for sure Boris, thanks for the input. And alek, the reason I gave him so few disciplines is because the special ability, 4 votes, +1 stealth and +1 bleed was sooo bloody strong as it is.

But I like the "once per turn" restriction a lot. With that nerf he might be able pick up one extra discpline. Which one, I'm not sure.
