Limited Movement

Event
Gehenna. Do not replace as long as this card is in play.
Requires at least one other Gehenna card in play.

Each methuselahs turn, only one copy of any card can be played by any methuselah. The acting methuselah may not attempt same non-mandatory action with more than one minion or play more than one political action that turn.

Remove this card from the game when there are only two methuselah left.

Creators comments:

I think this could add quite nicely to those decks with million minions, or constant bouncing around the table. It would hasten games. It's not insanely hard to get into play.

I was thinking adding a line of "Methuselahs with more than one victory point in the game are immune to this card." But I realized it would only make the one (in 5 player game) even more powerful if he were to have 2 VP's (and only 2 other players left with him)

Drawback of the card would be that it heavily hinders combat for the fact they can't play but one copy of a card (from their hand). It would also cheese Imbued a bit, as their convictions are not exactly PLAYED if I recall. Correct if I am wrong.

Opinions?

PS: Not sure if anyone can suggest or throw these card ideas here, but I guess you'll smack me if I wasn't allowed :P

EDIT: I thought that the phrasing "may not attempt same non-mandatory action" mostly means bleed action (only one bleed per player). And I instantly thought that Madness Network and enkil cog would go around the card as it is now. But, not that big of a drawback I think.

It would hasten games.

How could allowing only 1 bleed and 1 vote per turn possibly hasten games?

True, I guess you can see it that way. I must have had something REALLY special in mind when I wrote that (no clue).

The card could benefit from being played with Gehenna card The Rising. I must have thought of that.

But yea, I can see it slowing down gameplay if you allow bloat but prevent most of the pool damage.

Suggestions how to improve it?

EDIT: I also think I had Narrow Minds in mind (see what I did there) when I thought of the card. Expensive and hard to bounce, blocking only good choise, and even then diversity (in cards) wins. And no pool gain without edge.

The card itself might be bit borked, but that's why I am open for suggestions.

Not in a game without card limits. The only thing this card accomplishes is the destruction of fun, and it should be immediately forgotten.

We may still be able to help if you answer this question: what do you want your hypothetical card to accomplish?

(I also humbly request that you fix your signature to be horizontal and not eat up so much forum space. Go Tremere!!!)

I try to accomplish that... what what.. Hmm.. My main idea was to force players have more diverced decks, and not only bleed, combat, block, bounce or ally decks. Kind of toolboxing.

I guess, just for the sake of the game you could bleed more than once, but where put the limit? And sure, you could vote multiple different votes, but it wouldn't change much.

I am trying to find something to think of less linear deck ideas.

(I humbly ask advice how to fix my signature! It bugs me too but I don't get the signature script on this page!)

I suppose the idea is to :
* avoid multiple bleed redirection, which does in fact reinforce deflection in my opinion (so my prey will have to eat the bleed ? YES!)
* add another entry-level gehenna event
* promote variety in deck building (I.E. toolbox)

I think that, while looking as being good for the game, it would be detrimental. So, hard to improve.
