file Card Idea: tremere bond

"Ladder" AKA "Shit Rolls Downhill"
:action:
:trem:
1 :pool:
+1 Stealth action.
Unique. Put this on a younger Tremere or Tremere antitribue in your uncontrolled region and move 3 blood from the blood bank to this vampire. This vampire is a Camarilla Tremere Slave. This vampire may move this card and three blood from the blood bank to a younger uncontrolled Tremere or Tremere antitribue as a +1 stealth action that costs a pool.

There have been varying degrees of the Tremere clan "flaw" mostly on vampire text. This card represents the Tremere bringing their clan in line, thereby influencing them into play in service of their clan.

:tore: :pre: :tem: :aus: Independent Futurist. Contrarian (titled, X votes where X is the number of votes as the acting minion.) Target Vitals is always the better combat card.

You do understand that a Tremere who is a Tremere Slave is still allowed to take (d) actions, right? Because, by definition, there is a ready Tremere in play.
This is why Gargoyles sometimes play Clan Impersonation to "put on a robe and wizard hat".

HAHA didn't think of that. Sometimes "Logic" and "Common Sense" do not overlap :P

Yea, slave rule as a rule and not a concept nukes this.

For the same reason ublo santha or Saxum ( or better due to lower cost and nherent stealth) fidus can clan impersonate tremere and make your slavez act freely, this card doeznt really work.

Also, who is to say a torpid tremere elder cant influence the clan?

It wouldn't be impossible to add words like:

"If this slave vampire is a ready Tremere, you must control a second ready Tremere to allow it to take directed actions (under the slave rule)."

Or something equivalent.

That said, I'm not altogether stoked by the amount of blood/pool generate-able by this one card, especially given that in a mono-Tremere (no !Tre) deck, the downsides of slavery will be reasonably insignificant.

To your first point: there is probably a more elegant solution, but something along those lines might work. If it comes to me I will post something.

There may not be a "problem" with the card as is. Who is to say it's a problem to have the benefits of a slave minion without the flaw?

And for your second point: It's less pool generated than Govern the Unaligned. The action costs a pool, and it's unique so the only way to use it again is to influence out the vampire.
