Making Contracts Suck Less

I never liked that card. Premise is absolute shit. The introduction of makimg q phone call to check simeones background made buying firearms faster for anyone with a clean record.
Now, escaped mental patient should be stopped from getting even a zipgun for less than 3 pool by such a card when we apply logic, but any midcap to fatty worth anything could easily get guns faster, and probably cheaper.
Ditto for anyone with obfuscate. Kill a clean slate type of mortal, impersonate, buy gun.
Cbc should only tax things costing 4+ pool, which isnt needed because like i said, they cost 4+ pool, and factor in military ties for sects, or a merc buddy if your laibon, and its still easy.
Now, "stagex shooting conspiracy" as an event could and would make sense to drive up gun costs.......
Just saying......

Well, making Centralised Background Check more playable is a side-effect I'd gladly wear.

What's the point of creating more wall paper — the topic of the thread is "Making Contracts Suck Less". The above seems too situationally, more so considering the small return.
Claimed Contract
Combat / Action Modifier / Reaction

Play when the target of a contract leaves the ready region. The controller of that minion burns 3 pool. Only playable once per action. You may shuffle this card back into your library after use.
Yes, it opens up new angles — but it hardly makes Assamites + contracts broken. You could have also have a black hand twist: burn 2 pool if black hand, 3 if Assamite — then remove the clan requirement.
Forged Contract
Combat / Action Modifier

Play when the target of a contract leaves the ready region. You may move the contract (even if burnt) to another ready minion, that minion is the new target of the contract. Gain a pool.
Reuses contracts, saves master slots / actions.

If it doesn't move, loot it
Requires Assamite or Black Hand
Action Modifier/Reaction
Only playable after combat when this minion is ready and an opposing vampire with a contract naming this minion is not ready. Do not replace until the end of the action.
Burn a non-location non-unique equipment on the opposing minion and gain its cost in pool. Instead you may play this card and gain 1 pool. When this action ends, you may move this card back to your hand instead of replacing it from your library.

Replace "Burn x pool" with "Transfer x pool from Controller to your pool" and it's still not broken. Make it so.

What about ssomething like :
Some name
Master contrat unique
Cost 2 pool
Require assamite
Put this card on this Assamite.
This assamite can enter combat with any minion as a +1 stealth action.
When in combat, the opposing minion is conssidered the target of this contract and this Assamite is considered chosen for this contract.

Seems to go against the spirit of a contract...

Well, yes, but lore-wise the main direction given by Hakim is more "in the end, all vampires must be eliminated" than "be a contracted killer". Ur-Shulgi, who is already a psychopath obsessed by Hakim, could for exemple divert the rewards of Alamut from formal contract to indiscrimate vampire killing.
So, it could be rationalized as "Hakim's Command" or "The last battle" or something like that.
