Yeah but we're still missing all of the information to be included in the CSV.
What are the columns?
Etc,etc,etc
I mean I've got something for Inkscape that can basically do the same job, BUT I don't use it much because I hate dealing with the various bits and pieces.

BTW, code is ugly as hell (that's for me) and the csv file must contain a "sphere" column (that's for you, see the associated mages.csv file).
The tool isn't finished yet because I have a few corrections/improvements to do:
- add support for crypt cards
- add support for classical csv files (= ignore the requirement of the sphere column)
- add the pictures
- adjust the size of the cards for printing
- support conviction costs
- add "event" symbol on event cards
- clever handling of card text carriage returns (whatever
) (guess "unbreakable" spaces)
- and so on

The best way to use it would be to create your cards using a spreadsheet like Excel and export the data as a csv file.
I generated a pdf files of all the existing cards using my tool without worries. You'll have to include an empty "sphere" column though. Work is still under progress.

I took the csv files from ARDB. I think they are the csv files that can be downloaded from vekn.net (didn't check).Yeah but we're still missing all of the information to be included in the CSV.

Ankha,
Before you go coding your heart out...
Try see if this extension for Inkscape is what you're trying to replicate:
www.boardgamegeek.com/guild/950
It takes an input csv, uses a prebuilt template and then outputs a sheet of 'counters' that can be printed from Inkscape. I think it will at least do 90% of what you're trying to do.

Didn't know that tool. I don't thnik it can do exactly what I want (at least the 10% missing), and my tool is only 2 days work, so it's really a big matter.

A new download is available here: code.google.com/p/ankha-vcm/downloads/list. As a sample, here's what I get for the vteslib file (attached file).
