How is ascribing a motive provocative? I hope you have a motive behind your actions and it is not all random.
When you are attacked you don´t need to appear on the defensive. You are by definition of the defensive. And soliciting sympathy, really? With one word? I think you are subconsciously putting the whole context on top of my words because you didn´t like that letter being published and by that you are reading something into it that isn´t there.

The word "seeks" is used to ascribe motive to PCK.
