Why some new vampires have better design and some worse?

Today Protean is a currency for power (that phenomenon and its effects are another topic). I believe the design decisions on Molly revolved around her playtest ability, which was tuned down last moment, and in order to give her a notch, the design team elected to provide her with PRO.

She could have been much more ideal, much more creative and stronger. People wanna play strong and interesting vampires. Now she feels like a slightly upgraded ripoff of Baron Dieudonne. Bur she is farther from unplayable.

Second trad + earth meld still make a pretty good blocking option, coupled with segregation, army of rats, sabotage. She is not an awkward niner like Baron, her ability probably will be triggered more often than not. But lets wait for the other cards coming out new, maybe it will open up another doors.

Malachy, I ain't involved in playtesting or anything but your comment sure makes me feel that it is perhaps a bit too confidential information.

I don't know if there are NDAs nowadays but this sort of info should remain in playtest discussion group(s) and not be made available for general public. That is unless the designer(s) decide to go and publish it...

I think he just assumed something like that happened, by the phrasing of it, which seems to be plausible to be fair.

You are absolutely right. I was not a part of any playtesting either so any or all info about it should not be disclosed here. Fortunately particularities were not mentioned. My mouth and fingers ran before my brain.

And if you relayed info that a playtester gave to you, shame on them for being blabbermounths but also that sort of info shouldn't be shared. Nevertheless speculation is speculation.
