file Does Dabbler trigger on an ended action?

I feel we have made mountains out of molehills in this topic. I also wonder whether Ankha either misread Dabbler or forgot how he has defined things in the past.

1.
"Action ends" = "Action resolves unsuccessfully".
If you play change of target on an action, the action cannot be attempted again. -> Action resolved. You can use dabbler just fine because the action reached resolution. The time window (whatever it is) is not in any way different from other ways of resolving an action, whether its successful resolution or action being blocked.

2. Yes, dabbler is not a delayed trigger. Dabbler is a "once per turn" effect that can be performed after an action has resolved (with conditions).

3. The wording of the timing window is technically the same as with freak drive, which is a card that can be played after action resolution. The difference is that freak drive is an action modifier, and thus must be played during an action. Same is not true for dabbler which is a master card. So this begs the question, can dabblers effect be used later in the turn (which is also "after action resolution") as long as its condition is met? If we read the cardtext as english language and not as defined rules phrases, I would say yes.

ps. (not related to ruling in question) I would also like to point out for the umpteenth time that much of the confusion stems from using open-ended words such as "after" and "before" when defining timing windows. This is illogical and unintuitive and confuses players. It would be far simpler to use wording such as "effect happens/card is playable at the end of the action", in which case it would be clear that the effect must happen within the action, not next year which is also 'after' the action. If things would happen at the same time, then appropriate player could decide the order. Everything would be tidy.

No. Read the whole topic and ruling again.

This is in conflict with

A turn start at the unlock phase of a player, and ends at the end of the discard phase of that player.
