Deck Challenge - Girls will find I'm no pushover

Yup, I hate tupdogs too but if we're talking about a deck that can beat the Girls AND get game wins, I think we have a winner...

In fact, Girls die to fast combat decks with :

- graverobbing

and/or

- good ousting power


These are mainly tupdog and weenie DBR. Maybe some versions of Weenie Animalism are strong too.

Generally speaking, getting a SR when Anthelios is on the table can be a real pain for the Girls.

Also, agressive weenie vote decks can probably oust the Girls before they start playing.

In fact, girls will die if the table is willing to let them get ousted. First, you have to make sure they can't make a deal, because with the votes and bounce, they have much to offer and if the tag with another player, then it's likely the 3 other players won't be able to do anything.

But then, who needs to bother about the girls ? The deck is pretty expensive to build and even at big tournaments (CC,NC), there won't be so many Girls decks.



As a side note, I played the deck in my local tournaments, where the metagame is usually combat oriented, and most the time i just got stomped on.

One of my local guys has a Lorenzo Detuono that basically rushes you, king-hits you to torpor (Dead Hand + Various Str Increase) then plays Taste of Vitae and uses Lorenzo's special to steal the vampire. That basis should do bad things to a Girls deck.

Well obviously decks that kill minions and graverob them are going to cripple the Girls, or most other decks for that matter. The goal of the game, however, is not to cripple your prey. The goal is to oust him or her.

Thing is, I wouldn't be too sure you can actually oust it as well with Tupdogs or weenie DRB. Once you have graverobbed Aksinya, who is likely to come out first, all your Tupdog or Weenies can do is bleed for 1 a lot. Meanwhile, the girls deck is still playing liquidation and Ashur Tablets to keep their pool high-ish. While I'm sure you'll eventually wear it down (assuming you have enough Tupdogs!), there are 4 more players at the table one of which has a complete free game.

I don't think you need a very specific deck to deal with Girls decks. Sure, you propably need to meta against Ashur/Liquidation nowadays, but that's not much different than having to meta against combat, breed, vote, War Ghouls, bleed and a plethora of well-known archtypes/decks that you are likely to encounter at a tournament.

Killing the Girls is about understanding the deck and, more importantly, the rest of the table understanding it as well. If you leave it alone, or worse, help it out, it *will* get the gamewin.

I think that weenie ANI can do really well against it. As either pred or prey, Deep Song the bouncer and either rush or bleed, as appropriate. Play a lot of suddens, for sure. How many masters do you really need with weenie ANI anyway? Burning locations would be helpful and you are likely to run a couple Arson whether playing against the Girls or other decks.

The main problem as I see it is Anthelios. ANI can't answer that very well and that's a problem. Shattering at chi or Black Hand Ritual can take care of that. If the Girls have Anthelios, they are much more resilient than if they don't.

This is a Lorenzo Detuono-based Anti "Girls who..." deck.
Specifically aimed at neutering it as your prey, but can do some damage if it is the predator.
A lot of this deck's nastiness lays in Lorenzo's special.
"If Lorenzo is ready at the end of combat and the opposing minion is not, Lorenzo may burn 5 blood to move the opposing minion to your ready region (with 1 life for an ally with no life) instead." So you try king-hit your the chosen vampire (hopefully the girls), then effectively Graverob them. If Lorenzo can't take them, then just rush, smash and eat. If you lose a minion to the Bloodhunt, that's what the Possessions are for.
