We play what would be called Type 1: (All Cards)

Type 1 have banned card in magic. Only "type 1" exist in VtES, with a few banned card including Dramatic Upheval (and Return to Innocence, mainly).

The game creator have done the game specifically not to have card limit, also.

You can play your "custom" version of VtES. I predict it being very unbalanced, but that's your call. Simply, does not expect too much advice from here (as we play the game the way it's supposed to be played by the creator, which may or may not be the funnest way).

Also, don't believe that errata, banishment, and grouping were done to kill the fun. I never seen Dramatic Upheveal played, but I have seen the horrors that another banned card (Return to Innocence) can do, and I'd better play without it :)

So you are saying if I remove a Dramatic Upheaval and a Brujah fron my deck it works on a tourney level.

I appreciate that 'Cards as read' does not fly on a fancy level, I am bringing a dozen people to the VTES world and am trying to make it easy on them to learn and enjoy.

Same reason why we, as a group, said 6 is a limit on cards, spamming makes for a less fun game.

Forgive me for having a 1993 level understanding of this game but when I started it that is what I have to work with.

This did not mean to spiral into neuvo VS old school but for reals, are there any cards I am missing here? I have been without VTES for 15 years.

I am not sure this rule help with fun on any level, but it's true that a lot of deck are not too impacted by that

I would like to point out that in 1993 card were already illimited. Please note that errata and ban were done as soon as 1994

Yes, Scourge of the Enochean, and a lot of anti-weenie cards that are playable and that you can't handle too well. I am not too sure of what help a weenie political, but I fear a lot of thing destroy it ; so that's kind of a gamble.

Try with some deckbuilding program to figure out the new cards. There are only a few banned cards, less than 10, and mainly because of the Imbued and some weird stuff.

The card limit is a bad idea, because most deck features some cards way much more than 6 (Una Freakshow deck - 40-45 Freak Drives), and evolved very much since the day you know, but that's natural. It's important for you to know the up-to-date rulings and such not to misinform the dozen new players whom you intend to bring to the game (that's a huge number nowadays!).

Grouping rule: your deck's crypt cards can only be from the same group, or 2 adjacent groups.

Card text were changed in order to avoid broken and stupid effects, like DBR being used with Zip gun, or 3-cap banishing a 10-cap. So what happens when one player in your playgroup has new banishment, while you have old? What, each player goes by the text of its own card??

I am sorry, but it is , from my perspective, wrong to teach people to play like that. Sooner or later, you might want to go to a tournament somewhere, and there you will be thoroughly surprised.

I appreciate all the help!

I have sent the banned cards list out and that will help a lot!

I am also ignorant and did not know that illimited was a word!

Maybe I am a Dumbo, but tourney backlash was not something I expected from here, Coming new from 1993 (Cause I am old) are there any suggested cards I do not know about that will help said deck?
