Interesting possibility. I haven't tried Street Cred personally, but perhaps I should...

It's a bit expensive. 1 blood + need to do damage in a combat + can't be cycled easily = a bit expensive for an actionless enchant.

Except that you shouldn't consider it to be an actionless Enchant Kindred. It is something entirely different.

-14 Enchant Kindred
+10 Social Charm
+4 Street Cred

When you are anvil, be patient; when a hammer, strike.

Thanks for the responses so far. Don't let me stop the discussion...

It looks like fun. Did you play it in L.A. this weekend? has it matched up against other combat decks (cel/gun, bats/crows, pot/for)? I wonder if it could reliably outmaneuver one of these decks, probably yes for bats but maybe no for celerity/guns.

Yes I did! It lost to another potence deck (Edward's Euro Brujah TWD) and crushed a QUI deck - he was only able to deal with me with a Selective Silence in hand. I did not face the other "strong" combat archetypes. I expect to do very well against animalism and guns, but very poorly against celerity due to their extra maneuvers. Many people were playing Majesty (i.e. anti-animalism) so the metagame was favorable.

Let me address some of the suggested changes generally instead of quoting each individual poster.

Crypt: I will probably remove Arnold Simpson for another Sabbat vampire. There are many great options: Evangeline, Jimmy Dunn, Agatha, a presence weenie, etc.

Abbot is possibly a good card for me to add to this deck. I could replace a Bum's Rush with one without hurting card flow. I tended to leave at least 1 token blocker up each turn so an Abbot could increase my survival by stopping the odd bleed with bonding or confusion.

Yawp Court is also a good suggestion. I'll think about it, as well as adding a single Delaying Tactics. But if Anarchist Uprising is my real problem, I may be better served by adding Direct Intervention. Would you rather have Yawp Court or DI in this deck?

Changing Enchant Kindred to bleed cards, and/or Street Cred: I think both suggestions would make the deck worse overall. Bleeds get blocked; Enchant Kindred doesn't. That's crucial in the early game. And I don't want to be blocked! I need combat cards to keep my predator's minions limited. I need them to eliminate a famous vampire, key deflector, or other important target. In other words, combat is to be used tactically. Bleeds for 1 will suffice until I am ready to lunge and oust.

the only thing that confuses me about this deck is how it deals with combat that uses agg. i mean, it dishes out alot of punishment, and bleeds, but other decks can do that better (with our without fewer minions).

obviously, it did great so far in games, but deep song allows for bleeds of 2, and ani+pot dishes out more consistent damage with signpost+crows+grapple chain.

i just always sweat with combat that lacks a way to fall to 1 agg. maybe its a metagame thing.

it seems fairly solid and aggro otherwise with the combat and bleeding. nothing feels as nail-driving as several bleeds for 2 with no ready minions to block you and dragonbound out.

Agreed, aggropoke decks like Tzimisces and Gargoyles are bad match-ups for this deck. Anyone have any good suggestions? I could replace the suprise Target Vitals with a surprise Glancing Blow... ;)

maybe.... losing a hand slot is not fun though. if you are considering switching around the crypt, big celerity gives access to superior sideslip.

but theres another option.

i've only ever considered it in an adana and jacques deck, but armor of caine's fury @ out-ferior is 1 blood pre: prevent 1 damage.

it save you from little burst of sunlight, agg poke, and more importantly an allstar blocker (carna normally) with a bow and maneuvers.
