times Storyline - The Red Sign 2015

Does someone have to use opaque sleeves to play with the storyline cards?

If you play with your mates (= not in an official tournament) you can use whatever you all agree on.

You'll have to represent the cards somehow. You use printouts of the .pdfs, in which case you'll need sleeves. If your local playgroup is ok with using proxies, then use proxies.

Can The Red Sign accumulate more than one counter per turn if you use effects besides the built in action?

As far as I know, yes. Goth Band and whatever else could use their effects.

Hi all

Maybe this question has already been answered, but i haven't found it's answer.

In the "storyline2015-redsign-library1" PDF file, the card The Red Sign states:

Unique.
When control of this card changes, burn all counters on this card. Once during your turn a mage or vampire you control can take a +1 stealth action to add 1 counter to it. Any mage or vampire can steal this card as a {D} action. If this card has 5 counters then you can burn it to end the game and gain 2 victory points.

On the other end, in the "storyline2015-redsign-rules1" PDF file, the The Red Sign rulling states:

(...)Any vampire or mage can steal this card for his or her controller as an undirected action(...)

So, which applys? Undirected or directed action?

I believe this is meant to be one of three cenarios:
1- It is directed if stolen from another player, undirected if taken from the "bank";
2- It is always directed, which implies that when taken from the "bank", any other player can try to block;
3- None of the above and you will provide an explanation;

Thank you

#1 is the right answer based on other events I have played in and general logic of D at self = undirected, D at other is directed.

Quintessence Counters

The Red Sign Library cards for people who like to have pictures on their cards.

I've done my best to credit artists, but there's still one or two who have been very difficult to find. please note that i've done this as an enthusiastic fan for other fans. The crypt will be forthcoming, but i'm just about spent on this.

Is Nathaniel Galpin missing the mage keyword on purpose? or is it an oversight?
