Hum... if the WS gargoyle has a Sengir Dagger or some other agg weapon can we play Rothschreck?

No.
Put this card on a vampire when an opposing minion attempts to inflict aggravated damage on him or her, whether the damage would be successfully inflicted or not.

So, it gets played on Arika when the Gargoyle strikes with the Sengir Dagger. Except that requires the Gargoyle to be an opposing minion.

The Gargoyle WS isn't in combat and isn't an opposing minion, except to the extent provided for on the card text of Winged Second (dodge and damage prevention).

John's answers are correct except as amended below:
>> - If A is a vampire, Vampire C isn't "opposite vampire" to vampire A,
>> so Rötschreck cannot be played on C if A attempts to deal aggravated
>> damage to C. For the same reason, Rötschreck cannot be played on
>> Vampire A if C attempts to deal aggravated damage to A.

With no amendment.

In the scenario constructed by the questioner (Pascal), A is the acting vampire and C is the flight-y WS vampire.
