This might solve that problem:

How would the table look like if I have two Lasombra and one Kyasid on the table? Will people be able to tell easily the clans of each vampire?
I would keep a clan bar that helps identifying the clans of the vampires.

Then why not removing the left bar altogether?

I think that clan symbol should be on this 1,5x bigger and moved up to corner before name. This way you can tell the clan from other side of table without clan background.
That would leave less room for card names, like happened with Camarilla Edition (where the left bar reached to the top of the card). But that idea had to be abandoned due to lack of space for long card names.

IMo the best are the last ones posted by self biased (Gwendolyn and Nikolaus). They look amazing and a side bar gives unity among the clan members and helps in recognizing it.
I would just add expansion symbol in top right corner, but much smaller than it's on cards from latests expansions.

Well you can drop the set symbol to get more space for longer names.

Retaining the left bar allows not only for the recognizability of clans, but also for consistency with the formatting of library cards.
