Thanks for your help !!

So using the KS bundles which cards would be for you in the Power Cards ?
Under siege, Field training, Unleash Hell's Fury, maybe ?

The Cohesion cards would be the discipline cards.

And Vampires are easy to pick ;)

I feel some of the allies might be too harsh on limited embiroment, guardian vigil too. I tend to think about it just picturing how hard would be the card against a starter, that's my power criteria

I agree that a yearly or just general supplement (i.e. not a starter deck would be great). It would allow BCP to insert common cards and/or less common that people need back into the card pool without having to create a new starter deck.

I have been testing out deck building only using v5 and v5 Anarchs + promos and it's frustrating as an older player because there are some staple commons that just do not exist in these sets. For example, this card set does not have Blur or Aid from Bats, which are two staple cards in a lot of my decks. Adding those cards to a supplement would be great. Adding a few rarer cards like Enkil Cog etc. would only be icing on the cake.

In many cases Blur is way overrated and you get more mileage out of Side Strike and Pursuit since you are WAY more versatile thus enabling you to control the arena. Also neither costs blood.

Sometimes when you just want to maximize your strikes Blur is indeed good.

In that case, build with what's legal. That's how it works in every card game. It's highly subjective what you consider "staple cards in a lot of my decks".

What I was getting at in regards to Blur and Aid from Bats is not whether they are good or "staples", subjectively. Rather, I am saying it would be a good product for new players to buy - i.e. a set/cube/whatever with like 6 of several commons that have appeared throughout the life of the game but that are not included in the current starters. For example, Blur and Aid from Bats. But you could also include Threats, Eagle Sight, Enhanced Senses, Psyche, Rolling with the Punches, Thrown Gate, Increased Strength, etc. Eagle Sight and Psyche are like very common cards in wall and celerity combat decks.

But, what cards are in there is not really what I am getting at; more that it would be a good product to help get new players into the game. Right now, a new player who buys the v5 starters has a few options: they can either just buy more starters and build decks from that, or they can try and navigate the often confusing realm of the print-on-demand library and the current sets produced by BCP (from the kickstarter). However, I feel that those sets require to know precisely what you are buying and were generally intended to fill out older players' collections.

If there was a v5 product that just included like 6 copies of common foundational cards from the game's history that were not included in the starters, then I think that would go a long way towards helping newer players build a card pool to build interesting decks. You could even have 2 such products, one with 6x of whatever library cards, and 2x of the old Group 5 and 6 vampires that are not in the v5 starters.

Such a product would accomplish the goals of players looking to advance the "modern" format, and the players who are opposed to it. For the pro-"modern" crowd, such a product would increase the pool of cards in the format, making it a better format that is closer to "legacy". And for the "anti-modern" crowd, such a product would get more "legacy" cards into production and into new player's hands and would make it much easier for the newer players to jump from "modern" to "legacy".
