But I also think mandatory sleeving would alienate some players so I'm leaning more to allow non sleeved cards. Would be interesting to have some data how many played with sleeved decks in last EC.

Your love for me is so cruel, you monster. You know just what I like.
Still, I guess it'd give me a reason to actually attend an EC. B)

Maybe we should have a "how to shuffle with sleeves" seminar at the next EC

Here's what was said, just so everyone is clear:The problem could also be solved be allowing differently coloured sleeves, though. But when I asked about that, Pascal said it wasn't allowed and KevinM called me out as a cheater.

In a grander perspective, why isn't sleeves mandatory for tournament play (at least when using cards with different backs)?
Pascal wrote:
Because minor advantage is ok.

I assume this means that using sleeves of different colour and type in the same library/crypt is allowed as well?
So, given that you dishonestly labeled (and keep labeling) "using sleeves of different colour and type in the same library/crypt" as "minor advantage", I correctly suggested (and will keep suggesting) that you would be a cheater if you were to do such a thing.KevinM wrote:
You believe that using sleeves of different color and/or type in the same library/crypt equates to "minor advantage"??? Now you're the cheater. Is that your goal?

Agreed.Would you agree that the advantage gained from using differently coloured sleeves would be the same as the advantage gained from using cards differently printed backs? Assuming the spread is equal in both cases.

No, I didn't, since that was later and had nothing to do with me saying that, under the circumstances you had proposed, you'd be a cheater.

Sure. I asked if it would be allowed and you called me a cheater (you did not say anything about circumstances). You called me a cheater and asked if that was my goal. It's noted.
I did not even say I would do it, I just asked if it was allowed. And I most certainly did not say I would do it whether or not Pascal ruled it to legal.
