Breaking Group, bad. m'kay?

i suppose you're right, i have 1 and 4 so i can buy 1-5 and have little trouble using the cards.

Even better, buy 2-3, then you have a continuous four group set

Well, as has already been pointed out, there is another option for you:

In your local games, you can have house rules, like not using the grouping rule, as long as all players are ok with that.
If you have a very limited selection of crypt cards, that approach seems fine.

Once you can enlarge your collection of crypt cardsy, you stop using the house rules.

Of course, tournaments are still using the no-grouping rule, so you'd have to come up with a plan to obtain more cards you need eventually.

There is absolutely no reason to not ignore the grouping rule in your private games if it's difficult for you to build decks if your pool of crypt cards is very small.

Once you obtain more cards, you put the grouping rule in place again. Problem solved. :)
