One of the interesting elements to the grouping rule is to allow "Offclan Specialisation". The designers can easily afford to print a small group from a clan with a shared off-clan discipline without pushing the game close to breaking limits.
Examples would include:
FoS w/ Pot
G3 Brujah w/ obf
G2 Ven w/ OBF
G3/4 Malks w/ pre

i honestly feel let down by the grouping rule, when i first got into vtes i didnt knwo about it for ages.
g4/g1 tremere was fun while it lasted
i essentially have all these group 1 vamps that i can never use for having less than 12 from each clan. pretty much all i can do is ventrue and gangrel, eventhing else is like 6-10 vamps
if i could combine group 1 with 3/4 id have much more options for my limited set of cards.
grouping rule honestly feels like its there just to sell cards.
with them no longer selling cards... whats the point?
is there any real rick of things becomign broken that anyone can cite?
if anythign it strengths preexisting concepts, and allo9ws new concepts to be formed., this is good, no?

Reverend, thats not true, there is a group 3 Malkavian with superior fotitude, J. Oswald "Ozzy" Hyde-White.
mirddes, without grouping rule, mono discpline weenie decks would be ridiculous, like say presence weenie with like full crypt with no duplicates of 4 or below caps with superior presence. About similar could be done of each of the common discplines.
