Rapid thought is a great format!
More evidence that your deck need not be good in order to win:

The cards that are played by one player and affect all other players in the game, likely against their designed cost and intent, are on the Rapid Thought Watch List.Kevin: Just because I am curious .. why are Shared Nightmare and Taunt the Caged Beast on the watchlist for the Rapid Thought tournament rules?
Peter Bakija ran a RT "tournament" using my rules at Origins 2009. It was, by far, the best "tournament" experience that I have ever attended.Totally unrelated to this question: I really would like to play a Rapid Thought tournament anytime soon. Just to see how/if it works and if it's a viable alternative. 45 minutes, my gosh!

Can someone educate me on what the "Watch List" is for Rapid Thought?
In the writeup, it's a different list from the "banned list" but there's no explanation of what it means.

I believe it is a list of cards that may not be good for the Rapid Thought format.

A card being on a "Watch List" is a term used to mean "a card which has the potential to become too powerful and/or detrimental to tournament play, but which has not yet been proven itself to be such a card".Can someone educate me on what the "Watch List" is for Rapid Thought?

Since the goal here is to increase the number of toolbox decks which see play, and multi-use cards are the lynchpin of toolbox decks, I'm not really seeing a problem here that needs to be solved.
EDIT: If you want to be really draconian about this, the easy fix would be to have dual-type cards count as both types. So if you put four Swallowed by the Night into your deck, that uses up four of your combat cards slots and four of your action modifier slots.

4 Swallowed by the night. Problem solved
